Vinegar to clean it. That is the only way I have ever heard of cleaning a tank. Also, the sump just makes things EASY. I have 2 systems without and one with and let me say it DOES makes a difference. Also, the increased water volume really helps.

Have you thought about the source of your traffic being the issue? Can you ping from that host consistently to your default gateway or something like that?

Have you tried another CAT5? If you are on the same switch like that then there are only a few things that can really be wrong. (one of them could be the port on the AC also)

check your speed and duplex settings on the switch. Cisco "officially" does not support the "auto" setting on any device but you will need to force it on both sides to get it to work well. Are you seeing any errors on the network port? The firewall should not matter because the traffic should...

You are correct. I made the mistake of adding salt and it was not good. I would test your salinity from time to time though encase you do start to lower because of salt spray and things like that.

Ok, I got everything in the tank and everything looks great! Great sizes and everything is healthy looking. They even sent an email following up and I thought that was great!
