    I was told diatoms feed off silicates in the water. You may need something to pull them out.

    It was a few other reef sites, people stated using Purigen to reduce Nitrates. Granted it doesn't eliminate them but helps.

    I ordered the NeoPhos to add Phos. Per the info I have read Purigen does remove Nitrates; I just want the 5 / 10 range not 40 plus.

    You are the second person saying PHIS is to low. I was told the diatoms will go away if I increase the PHOS. What does everyone use?

    Its already doomed. Corals look like crap. Fish are hit and miss; one week look good and next they are sick.

    All my zoas melted. I assume from nitrates being 40. Phosphate is always 0.
