Bump Adding: HOB Eheim filter probably good for 20g / 30g tank Egg crate of various sizes

It must be that time. My ASM skimmer pump is making a grinding noise. Turned it off and will try and clean it Fri. I have an Elos PS1000 skimmer I will use in the meantime.

That sucks Mark. Since I'm in that field I try to stay away from foreign companies unless I know they've been around awhile.

MarkC gave me the netting, everything else bought at home depot. Cost $30 without net.

How do clean that and perform water changes? To much work it seems.

You can try adding this to the bottom of the tube to stop micro bubbles. Just needs to cleaned occasionally...

I would say yes. it needs to break in. Did you clean it before using?

In my experience that pipe should down as far it can go and then you turn without pulling to adjust flow. It may still need to break in like others said. How long have you had it running?

So just watched the video. The left of your skimmer there are 2 baffles about 2" part or less. Do you have a filter pad in there as that is what prevents micro bubbles into the return chamber/ display tank. Here is a pic of mine. The black filter pad is narrow and prevents micro bubbles.

Take a pic of your sump. Most have a small area to place a sponge/filter pad and that prevents micro bubbles.

Twice a day if possible. Usually flake or Nori morning early afternoon and a cube of frozen at night. If I miss a feeding I don't double up on one. During vacation I leave prelabeled frozen food about a cube and half and have the person feed every other day.

I am interested in some of the fish. Don't care for the tang ( have 1), clown or damsel. LMK Or if someone wants to split they with me as I really want wrasse pair.
