    So my digital thermometer came in. Surprisingly, the water temp is 71.7. The sticky one did work was dull and a shadow which reads 72. Now I can get some trees and a small CUC.

    I would only test ammonia, nitrate and PH but only if necessary. Meaning I think if there is a problem to cause the animals acting peculiar or dying.

    I researched play sand in the past. You need to ensure the play sand is silicate free if you;re going to use it. It may be okay for a seahorse tank as not much flow. A reef I personally would not use it as it may blow all over.

    I picked up 20lb bag from PetCo with discounts and tax $13. Not bad. Now to see how dusty it is.
