That may not happen too quickly. The description says "This xenia is less prone to move to the adjacent rock". I consider that to be a selling point - I currently spend two hours periodically cutting back on my invasive xenia.

Foam probably won't work, as it will float away from where you want it to be. I've used old towels in situations like these. Fold one into a long strip and cushion the edges of the coral with it, so there is no contact with the inside edges of the bucket.
You're a lot better off with Brightwell® Aquatics Phosphat-E or Blue Life™ Phosphate Rx™
