Thanks George. I had to turn the intake toward the glass because it was taking water to fast. It seems to be doing the trick for now.
The only issue I see is that my large green toadstool is closed for 2 days now. I will just keep an eye on it.
I never ordered from them because of all the negative things I have heard and read. I can't believe he is still in business based on all the bad press.
Phil,
You are correct. These are carnivores. I will have to feed them blood worms and move up to large live food as they grow until released.
Also, they require brackish water.
My understanding is even thought they are LPS the torch has a potent sting. I have kept frogspawn and hammer close with no issues.
I always kept my torch away from everything else.
Phil,
My son bought a Hova-Bator incubator a few years ago.
That-Guy, These are sold all over the place and legal to have. Yes, they are threatened.
We incubated the eggs because some were dented and with high humidity they can return to normal or very close.
The plan is to keep whatever...
Paul,
The pump arrived in 3 days. But two days later the sump sprung a leak. So instead of fixing it I planned on a new sump for the 120g. I drained the sump and let it be. The tank looks horrible with no skimmer so was trying to use what I have until I move everything into the new tank.
My tank is not looking well after the sump leak and skimmer is offline. I have a Coralife superskimmer and hooked up my mag5 but have no diffuser.
Does anyone have a diffuser or pump I can borrow until my 120g is up and running? Or if there is an easy way to make a diffuser let me know...
It finally broke out its shell. I guess I did lose the bet being its a DBT. Never seen any near the house before why I said Slider. Should have known better he has been tracking turtles for years.
About two weeks ago my wife found an egg while weeding. My son went over and dug some more and found 13 more eggs. Four were eaten by ants and fifth was cracked open, baby only lived for about an hour. He put the remaining nine in the incubator. Tonight one of the eggs started to hatch, see...
Stand build questions- 07735
I have two questions, for now, about building the stand.
I read on several web sites that if its your first stand build you should make it 1 inch longer and wider than the tank. My tank is 48" x 24" so the stand would be 49"x25". Does everyone agree with that...
