Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I did buy it used and agree my fault for not noticing. Unless this happened in transit.

I picked up the tank today and noticed the following defect. It is more of a small sliver of glass is missing. I am concerned of the tank leaking or cracking now. Here are some pics and any opinions appreciated. The pics make it look bad but it doesn't to the eye.

There was one there last year near the fishery but was dead. I believe it was a mink whale.
Just posted this in case anyone was thinking of getting it. Like I said for $90 cannot complain. I will email the company and tell them what happened.

Four days ago I noticed that Cyano was creeping up in the tank. I haven't had much time lately to really be on top of things so I added some Chemi clean and an aerator. In three days the cyano was gone; I turned on the skimmer and it went nuts even set to off.

Sad news. As of October 2012 the magazine will stop publication. I have been subscribing for a few years and they recently took over FAMA. Now both will be gone. Just a shame.

I cannot re-home them as they are rescues my daughter took in. I am very familiar with turtles as I have quite a few now and in the past. I don't want people to take them and then release them ad RES are not native to NJ and destroy other habits. Funny thing is my homemade filter from 2 years...
Thanks for he info. I did have a bunch of Hyacinth's in it last year and the turtles ripped them apart in a day. This in turn clogged the pump and was a hassle to clean and get all the little pieces out. As for fish I am concerned the turtles will eat them. I was considering a large 6" goldfish...
