depending on the ambient temp of the house - that sump area may get humid. i've seen some folks add a fan to help with the evap. Or you could cover a portion of the sump. Normally i wouldn't suggest that but since your display is an open top - plenty of evap should happen there. where are...
I just realized i've had my reeflo tarpon return pump since 2008. I was thinking maybe i should pick up a back-up and found out they discontinued them lol. The crazy thing is I bought this used from Austin. Who knows how long he used it for.
Anyways knock on wood. Hopefully my tank will...
thunderdome...lmao.
Anyways if you're patient enough arvind, for every aip that appears, put a frag on it...cover it with epoxy. Epoxy doesn't add any bioload, doesn't beg for more food, and it is relatively inexpensive (while being useful mounting frags). Although i would love to see...
what kind of ato are you using paul? if it was a tunze - it should have switched off after 10 minutes of continuous use. Also i have like four of these positioned around the tank and sump. Now my whole family just goes "dad" when they hear the loud beeping...lol...

How could any self-proclaimed "zoologist" let this happen?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3158537/54-stingrays-die-Chicago-area-zoo-oxygen-level-drops.html
All 54 stingrays in a popular exhibit at a suburban Chicago zoo died because the oxygen levels in their tank dropped too low...
tech m is what i used...heavily. it worked. That feathery bryopsis is enough of a nuisance to have made me consider quitting. Ever since then i try my best to rip frags off the plugs and re-glue them on my own plugs. Just never know.
i had a yellow eye kole in a 120 - added when small and was a model citizen except towards other tang in which he just displayed the usual "get out of my house" attitude lol. It is a bristletooth type of tang (ctenochaetus) vs the yellow tang (zebrasoma)- and in fact you can see both of these...
