50% of 5000 gph would be 2500 Gph. It may be ok for your LPS- but for a SPS tank that's not enough...but then again - this is pre-GYRE talking. So I guess we wait and see if the lighting helps. Typically nuisance algae don't take hold as quickly if the flow is higher. Good luck!

I'm not famliar with the Maxspect Gyre Generator XF150 what's the max flow on that? Is that the only pump you have for circulation in the tank?

what kind of wrasse? I'm at wits end with these vermatids. Everything in my tank was killed by Sandy except for these snails! Go figure.
