Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I ma running an Aquamedic multi 1000 Torboflotor. It is suppose to be HOB but AquaMedic said can be used in sump. Its a 75g DT with 30g sump, 4 fish and corals. I plan to upgrade to a 120g so ant the purchase to last.
Been doing some on-line research on my yellow scroll coral. What I can't figure out is this an SPS or LPS?
The articles I read don't make this very clear. I just want to figure out position, lihghting and if I am missing any supplements.
Thanks
Edit: Also water flow.
I cannot locate any reviews of this on-line. I should have mentioned I can get this for $125 brand new including shipping.
On many skimmers I ma limited on space height max I can squeeze in is 22" which is cutting it close.
But I will keep searching.
Thanks
The search for a new skimmer has begun. I am limited on space under the cabinet and in the sump. I will be asking about other skimmers as well. If there any I should stay away from let me know. I am looking for an in-sump skimmer.
Is anyone familiar with this skimmer, Vortex 1002? Is it any...
Finally, a little good news. I managed to get the turtles open by soaking it warm water a few times a day.
I also added some Pedialyte to its water dish so if it drank would not dehydrate.
It was active today, first time in awhile, so I tossed in an earthworm and it ate...Hooray!!
When I was told about the NJ Reefers I thought the same thing.
I must say thank you to my son who has helped me find many houses looking for that blue light.
Water change was last week, 10g. As for type of rock no clue but most has been in for a couple of years.
A month ago I put two new pieces in I got off a fellow reefer.
I think everyone I have spoken to is right. Just keep saving for a much better skimmer.
Phil, I have that overflow problem now anyway. It is priced at $50.
I saw this skimmer for sale on another forum and was wondering on opinions. It comes with 2 pumps, one is for water re-circulation.
I currently have the Aqua Medic Multi TurboFlotor which is HOB but was told can be used in-sump by manufacturer.
Here is a pic of the one I was going to Buy...
