Matt, would be the best person to reply. But I think they could be a bit to warm for seahorses. Dwarf seahorses can tolerate a warmer temp but are very small and easily get sucked up into pumps. Been there already.

    Salt

I hate to say this but was at PetSmart earlier and it seems they are doing away with the salt section of supplies. Almost everything is on sale, food, additives and salt. I bought a 150g bucket of Corallife salt foe $22.50. The Oceanic 90g bucket was $17.50. To my knowledge it is all the...

    The NFL this past weekend...

I agree Tebow is very lucky IMO. I watched a few games and to see him back up so much to avid a sack and get sacked anyway is not amazing just dumb. The two games I saw he lost 28 yards and the other I think was 15 yards. As for AFC Go Patriots!!!

    Linkia and SPS

Phil, I do believe that about the stars. I had hundreds and after adding the Linkia they slowing went away. I still have a few and one time my son claims to have seen it eat a star. I wasn't home at that time unfortunately. Also, I have seen this Linkia crawl all over Xenia I had. Not sure if it...

Zoas and Palys aren’t opening up….

Try moving the back where they were prior to the move and new bulbs and see if they open. The extra light intensity could be why but I am not sure.

    help corals turning white

+1 When my nitrates sky rocketed I ended up doing a 30g water change which dropped the nitrates down quite a lot. Then I continued with smaller WC for short time. Now I also dose vinegar to keep them low. I have a 75g DT with 30g sump. Total water volume is probably 80g.

    Linkia and SPS

Every time an SPS frag fell to the tank bottom during the night it would be all white the next morning. I assumed because it fell into the sand. Well this morning I may have found the culprit. A 3" branching monti frag fell and I could not find it. Finally my blue linkia starfish moved from...

ASAP: Orange Spot Filefish needs the *right* home as soon as possible!

My favorite file fish. Never got one because of all the info about hard to start eating in your tank. Sandee, good luck with it or who ever takes it. Be sure to keep us posted.

Would low salinity kill a fish?

I would think that depends on how high. Edit: I would think a few points up will not be a problem especially if done rather slow through evaporation. If it was very quick and real high could be a possibility.

Would low salinity kill a fish?

Evaporation would not cause low salinity as salt doesn't evaporate. The salinity would be higher in this case not lower.
