Here is the only concern I had which was the magnet. Only this one fell apart so I glued it together. Since I am using it on the outside of the tank I didn't feel it was worth the trouble of returning.

I receievd the dual knock-off Koralia powerheads for Christmas.

I don't mean I will never do a WC again. Just during this initial period. I wanted to see if the nitrates truly dropped from the vinegar. I will re-start my WC schedule again next week.
Is hard or soft when you touch it?
From my experience I have seen something similar in my tank. It was white/yellow with some stripes and turned out to be some type of sponge.
Never caused any problems but cannot be certain from that pic.
