Paul, That was basically my question. I am not technical enough to know these plumbing terms.
I will try HD and Lowes; if not there two local mom and pop stores I can try.
If the sock is 7" long should be okay. I use 12" felt only because when I bought my holder the guy gave me 4 and then I bought 4 more used. Others can state the difference between them if you are interested as I never bothered to check that.
Needed to make water and noticed that the unit was spraying all over under the metal piece that holds the 3 canisters. I took it aprat and notced one of the connections are broke going from the middle canister the third. Is there a way to fix this? Thinking I can unscrew the nut piece and but a...
James,
Thanks for all that info. On my survey post nobody has the Aqua Trader fixture more than a few months and a few people I know a few years back said the ballast burnt out after a year. So another member has had this fixture for about 2.5 years with no issue and I plan to get one...
I plan to order a new T5 HO light fixture. They give a choice of bulbs and I plan to go with 2 blue actinic and 2 white. The give 3 options on color temp for the white: 6700k, 10000k or 14000k. I was going to go with the 14000k. Just wondering what others have done.
I agree with this statement. My daughter and her friend found turtles years ago and kept them in the science room. During the summer they had special permission to enter the school twice a week and care for them. But when they graduated 8th grade no one was around to care for them. So we ended...
I have a Kent Phosban reactor a bit old and battered but works fine. Not sure if I have a pump for it. Plus I am in 07735.
Let me know and I will try and find a pump in my boxes of junk. Either way you are welcome to it if you want to drive up.
IMO I would not add it to the storage container. In my container it created a film. I would add to the sump so it mixes well before hitting your DT. I stopped using Kalk and switched to Kent Tech CB part A and B. I like it much better. B is for Alk and And A is for Ca.
Hoped this helped and...
I agree it is short and the power cord as well. You can buy a longer hose. It works great IMO and pulled bunch of water out of the carpet.
The best thing I like is that it's made in the USA.
It was a stupid mistake on my part and will not happen again. I usually check the hose to be sure its okay but was distracted this morning. There are 2 floats in the sump none in the bucket.
I had my first flood tonight. This morning added water to the 5g ATO bucket and all was fine. Left the house at 7pm came home around 8:30pm and noticed 2 large wet spots in front of the tank. My first thought was the sump is leaking but I heard a dry pump running. Checked the ATO bucket and it...
The single reflector I know about and am not overly concerned since i don't keep high end corals. Just want to be sure it will last awhile.
How long have you had your fixture?
Also, the people who had issues purchased the 36" fixture.
I am looking to upgrade my lighting to a 48" T5 fixture. Don't have much cash and came across these. A few members here bought these a couple of years ago and didn't like them. They said ballast burnt out within a year. Does anyone have this fixture purchased recently? Is it any good?
Thanks...
