Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I've kept predominately softie tanks and havent dosed Iodine and have had serious growth on most of the leathers that I have had. If you are going to dose, make sure you test!
A few small water changes may help put back in the trace elements that you are lacking.
Greg,
I think it's normal behavior. Especially since it has that "shiny" look to it. It's probably just shedding. You can give it a blast with a turkey baster to help it along if it's having trouble shedding. I would probably just leave it alone though. I've had them close up for over a week...
I think I would wait on using the Chemi Clean or Chemi Pure... Problems like this usually go away with good husbandry skills. I think changing the flow and lights will help you out. The same thing happened to my 120 gallon. It was running for months and when I came back from my honeymoon it was...
If I'm not mistaken, I think that is one of the corals that the club offered. I'm sure Phyl will chime in and hopefully she can give you some direction on it's care or at least lead you in the right direction.

You do have enough rock to have a good biological filter; but 10#'s more wouldn't hurt. I don't use tons of...
Well, That's really up to you. I would take out all biological media. Let your live rock be your biological filter. Although, now that I think about it. I am assuming that you have Live Rock. ::)
Do you?

You could possibly fill the second one with live rock rubble. I wouldn't put any more sponge material in. The sponges will eventually cause nitrate buildup. Unless you have a strict maintenance schedule. I have live rock in place of bio balls in my wet dry on my 90g FOWLR. I have...
Stopped there again today, they are getting better and better. Picked up a beautiful Derasa (35 bucks!) and a really sweet blue carpet anemone.
They are packing it in over there.. definitely worth the trip!
