May I ask a stupid question? Why do you want to have MH, PC, and T5 lighting on the tank? Besides the added complexity of replacing all those bulbs and plugs, timers etc. - I would just imagine it to look rather awkward - unless it's all hidden in a canopy. Why not just go MH/T5? or pure T5?

I actually converted my 6100s back to 6000s to avoid the sandstorms. I'd have like one corner of the tank with no sand and right next to it a 6 inch mound. ;D I figure once I get corals going and the tank gets more crowded - I'll switch the hockey pucks out and make them back into 6100s.

I was under the impression that the higher the team - the more water the air can hold. Therefore conversely - the lower the temp - the less amount of water can be held. I'm just wondering if you kept your temp higher upstairs - wouldn't the relative humidity drop down to a more manageable 53%...
