Just heads up - be sure the butterfly is okay at the LFS - they tend to be fragile and poor shippers - the copperbands at least...and those are the type you'll need to get for aiptasia. That stated - why not try Joes Juice? A butterfly may end up picking on your other corals too.

That is pretty strange! Be careful if an animal that normally would run comes at you. Last thing you want is for your dog to get bite by an animal infected with rabies.

is it gurgling because the elbow is sucking in air on the top? Can you show a pic of the top of your overflow? if so then lowering the durso so the elbow remains below the water surface should help.
