I believe you could still get the ducts clean - just ask them not to use the disinfectant. I dunno - our cleaners used Envirocon disinfectant...but this was when we first moved in (nothing set up).

Alternatively you could also go to a local seafood store (an asian market will typically have a seafood section/wet section) and get the shrimp (with the head even).

welcome to njrc! If money were not an issue - I'd get a third tank. ;) If I had to choose, I'd keep the FOWLR tank because those guys deserve a nice big home - like a 150. While the 55 is difficult to aquascape because of the shallow front-to-back depth, I've seen some really nice tanks set...
