We have oral b. Hmm - never thought about them being loud but come to think of it - they are like a mini-lawn mower...lol. I guess we're just used to the sound. I never tried a sonicare...my dentist suggested the oral b to me years ago so that's what I've stuck with.
After reading this, no matter what my girls say - I'm not getting these for them...

At rail stations and shopping malls around the world, reports are popping up of people, particularly young children, getting their toes caught in...
Aquatic Obsessions is having a sale to celebrate its anniversary...i don't think they had this particular brand but maybe you could ask them. Good luck!
We've been in the new house for almost a year and the water is just terrible when compared with tap in manhattan. It appears to be very very hard with mineral residue.
Would like to know if anyone out there went ahead and procured a water softener (e.g. from Home Depot).
Are these things...
the quake was supposedly a 6.6...so the tank is fine! lol.
Actually Singapore is a pretty advanced/modern nation - it was nicknamed one of the five tigers in east asia (along with taiwan, hong kong, japan, and south korea). The country also sits geographically in a zone that will experience...
really nice...i wish I could have done 1/4 of that work. I ended up just paying money to contractors to get our place up to snuff...and it's still a money pit!!!!
Nothing like cats and smokers in a house. I recall visiting a house and the realtor went downstairs (where the owners kept who knows...
...speaking of protein skimmers - is there one in your tank? Maybe you mentioned it in another post but I don't see it mentioned in this thread. Nitrates can be controlled somewhat with water changes and a good skimmer. The refugium (assuming you regularly prune the macro) will also help. Some...
never heard of that fish - at first I thought you were talking about a sebae clown/amphiprion sebae.
Did you put a mono sebae in your reef tank? I've never had any success with fish catching without major rock removal. I read an article once about how some fish have a few minutes of...
That is so cool!
My wife and I purchased our first home and she gave me a bill for the new kitchen. :'(
LOL!
Though I am truly on her good side now and have staked out room in the house for the (hopefully upgraded) tank. ;D
Wouldn't it be cool if NJ reefers could have a program similar to how the 'BBB' certifies good businesses - with like a sticker that is maintained annually to indicate that the saltwater tank has been checked and certified as "eco-friendly"...meaning it would have to meet some set of criteria...
In the early 80s when I struggled with the UGF and "wet/dry" "cannister" filter cutting edge equipment for my saltwater tank - I was really ticked that all that money just couldn't keep that system afloat.
So you could say part of my motivation is just the "challenge" of doing it.
But...
Wow interesting I've found just the opposite on a RR/drilled setup....dang I'll have to recant my post on that other topic now.
oh wait - I just re-read your post...maybe the experience is different because yours is HOB and mine isn't? interesting nevertheless.
Curious on this - a mag 7 -
a) I think the screws they use for those devices aren't great - I've seen a pair of mine rust.
b) Wouldn't a mag 7 (pushing at that speed) create a lot of "waterfall" / noise?
To me I guess I'd rather have the flow in the tank and use a smaller return.
But I...
LOL...
well I should have renamed this thread bathroom etiquette because clearly he needs to read up on it!
and yes - I think URI VHO 420nm peak lights are superb!
