OK, thanks John. So the numbers I’ve posted above….426, 575, 450, are in the ballpark for my roughly 115 gallons of water. Now I’m happy and feel that I can start with the quarter dose of pellets and slowly increase to the roughly 500 mls of pellets. Good stuff! Thanks.

My dosing pumps do it three times through the night for both alk and calc.....and not at the same time; they are separated by hours.

There are a number of parameters that impact dosing volumes of two-part. That being said, the volumes you are dosing are in line with the volume of water. Note that Brightwells two part is more concentrated than others (B-Ionic and Randy’s two part), with the alkalinity portion at 3000...

Do you have a clam or clams? How much alk and calc are you dosing? And your mag is a touch on the low side. And as far as the chemistry of the alk portion, it is either sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate. It is very stable and accordingly will last forever. So it doesn't "go bad."
