Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Sunny, I could meet you at AO and then drive back to your house. I’m not going to go to your place just to turn around and almost pass my house on the way back to AO. So I’ll see you at AO tomorrow around 5…..if anything changes, let me know. I will then drive back to your house and...
It’s been stated on here that Tropiquarium (1100 Rte 35, Ocean Township, NJ 07712, (732) 922-2300), sells tanks at cost.
EDIT TO ADD: Oops, I'm slow at typing....Sunny beat me to it.
I’ve reached the end of the rope……I’m switching teams. Since the inception I’ve been a Reef Crystal user. I came to believe that your choice of salt was like your choice of spaghetti sauce….whatever you were brought up on is what you liked. Well I guess that is not true, because I’ve had...
What kind of pump are you currently running? Did you take it apart and figure out why it crapped out? It might just need a cleaning or a snail might have clogged it up. I know the first time I cleaned my return (MAG 9.5), I was shocked that it was still running. The magnet and impeller...
I’m just scratching my head on these glass frit probes. I’ve got to believe these go bad……and then what happens to the temperature in your tank when they crap out?
In my miniscule brain the “herpetology” temperature probes appear to be more stable, submersible, and lasting for ever.
I erred….I though the current temperature probes I have had silvery metal ends…..they don’t. They look just like the picture above…..plastic coated probes. So I’ve been using their “herpetology” temperature probe, fully submerged, for over five years!
For those using ReefKeepers (2’s...
I agree that I think the home page should be updated with great frequency.
But don’t get your panties in a wad, and just minimize the stuff that bothers you.
Here’s what I’m looking at so I don’t have to see the blue box and the outdated meeting info (just minimize it!):
I think you’re crazy!
So you can keep all you polyps and GSP, but when are you coming for some pretty tan star polyps. They’ll keep you GSP company and make you happy Forest.
It's a photo directly from the DA site for their i-temp probe? And I see it now on the larger picture I've posted...you can see "pH." I've edited the OP with the i-temp photo form Marine Depot....this one says i-temp on the side.
I’m old and don’t like change, and I’m happier than a pig in mud with my old technology ReefKeeper 2 controllers. I now have three of them, and they suit my needs just fine……until picking up my last one. The first two RK-2’s had nice metal (probably bimetallic) temperature probes that are as...
At first I thought it was a Stephen Wilkes Day to Night photograph. If you’re not familiar, google his name and New York City….his photographs are spectacular. Anyway, that first photo looks just like one of his photographs……cool! Nice job John.
