So here’s my next suggestion: If the wires fit into ½ CPVC (otherwise regular ½” PVC), make the following Rube Goldberg and paint it flat black with HD’s $0.99 spray paint.
If you go this route, make sure you thread strings through the pipe while you’re assembling...
