Eric - for this you need to close the gate valve enough so the water goes down in siphon though the primary drain. There should be only a trickle in the secondary drain. If you cannot get the water higher than the top of the primary drain then the gate valve is too open or maybe it's defective...

@Yates273 - if you have a lot of nitrate your phosphate might be depleted first by the carbon dosing. You might need to dose some phosphate.

Some of mine are darker ones. Kind of a salt and pepper look. However I have never seen them eat the corals. And there are plenty of them in the tank.

No problem with it at all. Tank is getting crowded and this guy is too active makes the tank look smaller.

If it's picking on rocks it should be good. I would not medicate until it eats well and gains weight. You can try feed it a mixture of frozen food, maybe some meshed up oyster. Hatching brine shrimp is easy to do as well. Mine eats everything including pellets. These guys are pigs once start...

These hermet crabs I got from petco are great. End up getting a small army of them. Never attacked snails and do not both corals at all.
