    Cinnamon clowns

Selling a pair of cinnamon clowns. They’re in the attached video. Still small. I am shutting down another tank and want to move the snowflakes into this tank with the ritteri nem. The ritteri nems are native hosts of percula clowns. The cinnamons are still small but hanging out together all the...

    GFO not lowering phosphates

This has to be a measurement error.

    GFO not lowering phosphates

It will remove N and P approximating the redfield ratio, about 16:1. Yes you have to test and occasionally supplement nitrate as needed. I always keep my N high at least 5ppm.

    GFO not lowering phosphates

Paul explained it much better than I could. Carbon dosing is cheap and effective.

    GFO not lowering phosphates

Very simple. Mix 500ml vinegar + 375ml vodka + 125ml RODI water. Start with dosing 2ml a day until it kicks in. You will need to measure PO4 and NO3 for a few weeks until you get the dosage right. Good nutrient export is critical for algae control.

    GFO not lowering phosphates

Carbon dosing will remove any amount of nutrient you have in the water easily. Just need to make sure you have a good skimmer. I no longer use GFO it only removes phosphate then what are you going to do with nitrate.

No idea about the light but you can use a smart plug and have it plug/unpluged remotely or on a schedule.

    PetCo Sale

I have a few years back. The mail order operation of PetCo is not the same as the stores. Fish were delivered directly from the distributors Petco just do the money transaction. So in a sense similar to LiveAquaria.

Leopard wrasses are more resist to disease compare to others, the key is to get it to eat. I never QT my fish let alone performing any copper treatment.

The return needs to be higher than the highest water level in the reservoir. This is how I do it.

    RAP Ny

Think it was $25. With the gas prices lately and Covid bailout money is over I think you’d see a lot of unsold corals Sunday afternoon.

    Urchins

Haha I used to be the non-commital type as far as coral placement. Now I glue them down as soon as I got them. Can always move later and corals seem to do better glued down especially SPS. As for urchin I have a bigger pincushion and love it.

    Red Sea Reefmat

I don't use filter socks on a regular basis, let the detritus settle in the sump. My corals love having some particles floating in the water.

    Fish trap needed

I have a fish trap in Aberdeen but I don't think it will work for you. Flashlight in the dark with a small net is the best way to get hard to catch fish. Do it an hour or so after dark.
