Mine is a coralife. I also have a GE I bought from home depot. This difference is it's not designed for aquarium use and does not have the night recepticles that will turn on opposite the daytime ones. From the look of it it's made by the same company.

Paul - I use one of these! :cry: Maybe it's time to upgrade to an Apex. I also use two of these. Not sure if they're safe but definitely convenient with individual switches.
