yeah, keep eBay in mind when looking to buy fish-street stuff. Most of the popular products can be had on eBay for much less and sometimes on Amazon as well with prime.
I think you'll be happy with them, they definitely move water - I never owned a Gyre or IceCap so I really can't compare but...
check eBay and you can get them for less then $100 each. Also, I had the CP-40, the bigger version running for almost a year with no issues when my tank was running. i heard they've made a few revisions on them since release and are much better.
I have a 57 deep blue rimless tank with a gla$$holes overflow and an eshopps s120 skimmer with a 30 gallon long that you can use for a sump, you'd need to put in baffels tho. price is $275.

decided to keep it for backup purposes - while i was cleaning it unfortunately the rubber gasket that goes around the adjustment pipe decided to give way - replaced it with a rubber band and it works but i'm not comfortable selling it that way.
one of your parameters is off, also get some amino acids of sorts to help feed your corals. I would do some aggressive water changes. where did you get your kalk from?
