Good Morning. I walked the beach this morning and disturbed some amphipods. I didn't collect any as I didn't want to put them in my pocket as they tickle. (I added a little blue to this because New York mornings near the sea are much more gray) :)

This morning I collected and changed 40 gallons of water. I had to filter it because it was choppy and it rained hard last night about 2" so it was full of chopped up seaweed, bikini tops, truck tires and sand.

I have one and thats what I normally use when I am not in a hurry or when my shoulder doesn't work, like now.

I want to change some water before my shoulder surgery when I won't be able to do much of anything. :)

My Morning walk. I live near the sea so it is often foggy. On my way there I spotted this big bull frog. Golf course . Foggy beach Then I noticed people living there.

Afraid of What? Amphipods don't bark, bite or jump on your leg. They are not protected or in danger of becoming extinct. They are easy to carry so no need for a hand truck. I have thousands in my tank for 50+ years so I know they don't eat fish.

I took that video 2 days ago so yes, this is the time. My problem is you need to go low tide and that doesn't often happen when I have time to collect and it happens almost every 12 hours.
