there's a lot of information on google to learn about what it helps. besides that as previously mentioned if you want to get rid of some LR let me know! ha! i can use some!
first SW tank 33 gallon long
started 6 months ago in FW then everytime I would go to the LFS my family would tend to move over to the SW fishies! I fell in love with the flame angel fish and was determined to get one. yet I still haven't gotten one and all the fishes I have bought thus far have...
I like the nice clean white look of coral. looking to use all coral rubble in a 15gallon build. i haven't seen others do this and would like to know if there is a huge downside to using just coral rubble in a display.
pic of it as it sits right now. i'm letting it just for another two weeks...
i don't think it'll come out like how others have theirs drilled and setup but i think it would work.
i have had 3 hob filters and only failure shown was when i added sand with extremely small grain size which floated and tore up or filled the impeller.
i will get pics up but i don't think you...
as shown. that's how i think it would work out.
the ball valve would stop any issues of return pump failure. as long as it is noticed before too late.
i think the design is almost exactly like a regular overflow box but the pump is what drives the water in and may be more consistent than a...
i may be getting confused where others are thinking a floor may occur? hob has an overflow. the hob filter will stop pumping water to the hob and only the water with in the filter may go down.
the pvc elbow will be about half distance from the bottom, of filter, so that would minimize the...
with research that's what i found to be the culprit as well.
thanks for the feedback. never seen them probably cause i'm going FALLOW at this time they are blooming especially overfeeding! ha
would a skimmer be necessary on a 15 with no LR?
i know every says have LR for natural filtration but i don't necessarily like the look and going for a coral graveyard look.
it looks clean and like the white. probably buy one piece of LR for holding my RBTA for a paired clown.
I would love to see why others have gotten into this hobby and their current PRIZED possession.
mine all died recently so i'm out of the contest already! ha! sorry still a N00B losing a lot of money learning along the way. and as mentioned some people are in it for shi*tzs and giggles and...
as mentioned due to the outbreak of ICH all my fish have fallen to their graves. and pretty much going to run the tank FALLOW until end of February besides my inverts.
so any remaining ICH will be dead by then.
i was just installing new T5 light and noticed little white **insects** bugs etc. whatever they are
description: about 100 sticking to the glass. about 2cm almost little specs.
recent: had issue with ich. unsure if that's even possible to view them with the naked eye. thought it wasn't...
i think i could use a hob filter and run a bulkhead down the bottom with a 90degree pvc elbow (which will let the pump/propeller pull through the necessary water.
everyone ever try this way?
