Thanks. Yes that options does sound cool. My near plans is to get my new pump installed and added to my controller. My new pump should be here today but I am taking my time with this add. I plan on doing PVC under my stand (right now its just hoses) so that I can run both my reactors plus...

    My journey back into reefing......

I heard there was a fish safe spray paint (Krylon is it I believe) but if you look it up they claim its not. Now that could be them covering their butt in the chance something bad happens. I would like to hear what others say cause I would like to paint PVC but want it not to cause an issue...

I first want to state I have not used or seen an Apex system. I hear good things about them but like I started I don't have one nor have I seen one in person. Doing a quick search I find the Apex Jr (which I am assuming is their cheapest model) for around $239.95 (the other two prodcut are as...

    My tank thread

@redfishbluefish thanks for the information. I didn't even think that might happen so good to know. I knew that once my return is powered off the water would stop going down (once it drops below the overflow) my concern was during me working on cleaning the pump getting turned on or something...

    My tank thread

@NyteGTI thanks for the input. The reason for the ball value (which I am not 100% sold on) is to beable to close it, disconnect my drain line (for cleaning or anything) and not worry about water coming down for any reason. Again not sold on the ball value there (one of the reasons I am...

    My tank thread

Ok if you guys seen on my other post I ordered a new return pump. The pump is going to be here Friday but I am not rushing to get it installed. I want to take my time and plan this out. My plan is going to be as follow: * disconnect both my return line and drain line (which are both hoses...

Has anyone tried this out yet

I agree. I seen plenty of unboxing videos (like I said I follow one of the founders on YouTube) and there seems to be some good stuff on it but not sure I would use it up in a month. I think some cool parts they have is they get demo products so you get to test stuff out. They do spot light...

    Could had sucked

Oh I'm not too bummed about it. Working in Higher Ed I know how the 'game' is played. Also from day 1 I felt like they wouldn't be able to offer me a salary to meet my needs. Also I am in a good job so its not like "I need a job".

    Could had sucked

Well bad news and good news. Bad news is I didn't get the job. Good news is I don't have to worry about breaking down my tank and move it (yet).

I have followed Mike from MASS on YouTube for awhile. Another guy I even got frags from has used them. It seems like a good deal I just have not pulled the trigger on it yet
