They have gfi combo switches,where the top is a switch and bottom is an outlet..

Glass sump? then better to use glass,but with both of my sumps(glass) I used plexiglass,just a lil more silicone to get the plexi to bond with the glass.But if you have to buy plexi anyhow,then go buy glass...just my opinion ;D

I agree with Malulu,and if yr going with an in sump pump,you might luck out and have one less bend in the return to the tank.

I've gotten fish 10 hrs away,bagged them 3/4 of the bag filled with water,and the rest air,the water sloshing around will provide air/water exchange,and slipped a few heat packs in the box for heat,maybe not needed now,unless you have the ac on in the car.And threw a towel over the bags to keep...

Is it possible to remove (in one peice) the top plastic brace on a 125 gal?? And if no,can the top be bought from somewhere,I have this idea,and it would work if I can remove the top,so the braces won't be in the way to work inside the tank,of course the tank will be empty when I attempt...

my setup has the "shoplight" type setup you can buy at sears,HD,loews pretty cheap, the clamp on witha standard 40 wt light bulb,I run it all the time and the cheato grows like crazy,and I too have nitrates at around 20,but I also add iron every now and again.

I say yay..Ive done it before and had no ill effects.Although Ive also used fishtanks that held reptiles in them too.And everyone said it wasnt "safe",but hec,I like livin on the edge...lol good luck in yr choice :)

I've wanted to do a tank like that(now they have tanks that have openings for hob filters mid way down...but with 2 tanks already...*ahh well*..lol Gd luck on the setup Wendy
