How many watts for a 80d DT and 35g sump? Trying to control this algae and I saw a 20w UV that will fit in my sump. Is that enough to help control algae?

Was shopping in PA and stopped at The Hidden Reef. Big store but did not get to look for long. I get disappointed in stores that keep the fish room dark and overvsturate coral with blue light. Which wax rhe case here. Prices seemed good; picked up sea cuke.

Have this horrible brown algae on the sand since I took out the ship. Today took a turkey baster to blow it off and the amount of dirt surprised me. What should I do? Keep using the turkey baster, rowaphos, etc. Pics below.
