Sump baffles up and drying.

The assembly was fairly easy but I did get 3 broken parts. 1) The metal catch plate for magnetic lock was bent. Fixed with vice grips. 2) The locking nut was also bent. My neighbor had a vice we could use to straighten it. 3) The magnetic lock came broken in several pieces. Using Gorilla glue...

Almost complete but I would need to place sump in stand before finishing. Or if there is another option please let me know. Also, suggestions on how to cut top for dorso appreciated.

So the last one on the right is the scrubber. I always thought you need to have a pump pushing water over it. In this it looks like the screen would just start to grow algae with low flow. Correct?

I can add egg crate not an issue. I assume the left is flow from DT, middle is for the skimmer, egg crate and screen is the algae scrubber and right side is the return. Does that sound correct?

Does anyone have suggestion on how I should place the baffles in my sump? Hoping to glue them in tonight. Do I need a section for a fuge? How much room needed for an algae scrubber? Etc. Much appreciated.

Thanks Mike. I hope to get the stand and sump all situated and hauled down to the new place. This week but will need your help with plumbing. If that doesn't happen will probably take you up on your offer time is running out.

Mike, the stand looks like weekend project. I did solve my baffle issue by filing them down. I had to buy a file oh well. Now to figure placement.

Its all screws never intended to glue it. I guees thats an option just worried about cut for overflow.

Next question. The stand top and bottom ate in two pieces. I am concerned about them not being level. Here is a pic of the top and the white tissue is where some screw holes are. I lined up with overflow to see how it would look cut. Is this okay or should I get a different stsnd?

Pics of potential sump setup. I wanted to keep the middle section for a fuge and put a BM curve 5 skimmer in same sectinon of socks. Or any other ides like ditch fuge and add an algae scrubber some how.

Well that sucked. I went to put the part for the filter sock holder together and broke two pieces. The pic shows only need 3 and was sent 5. I hardly twisted them and they broke. Looking closely I could see two slots were not cut straight and had small bumps. I will glue back together best I...

Went to see how the baffles fit and hey are very snug. Do I tap them to make them straight and then use aquarium silicone to keep in place and seal? I am worried about cracking the tank.

Not familiar with pipe fish but assume the similarity in color is the issue. Two males seeking dominance maybe.
