If you plan to have baffles in your sump how big is the chamber you plan to put the skimmer in? You can then search for that footprint on the skimmers you are interested in to see if any will fit. Edit: For some strange reason my PC showed no replies when I posted, so feel free to ignore this.

I picked up a replacement pump for NAC7 I bought used and had no issues with it.

I agree, cleaning the skimmer and pump regularly is a good idea.

We have 2 Red ear sliders, 4 rescued baby DBT's, 2 baby Chinese box turtles, 3 rescued eastern box turtles, 3 Florida box turtles, 2 Woma pythons and a bearded dragon. Will be releasing the DBT's in the summer once they grow some more.

I think a reactor will help with the situation. But as stated before you need to determine where all the nutrients are coming from and reduce it which in turn will no longer feed the cyano. Water movement is a plus so nothing settles and goes through the skimmer and/or reactor.

I agree with above as I had this problem in the past also. What type of water movement do you have, skimmer and do you run any reactors?
