Matt, The real surprise is my wife is afraid of snakes and my sin has been asking for one for years. This past summer in Wildwood my wife, son and I held a large python. The look on her face was priceless. Believe it or not she gave my son the okay to get a breeding pair. Go figure.

Well 4 hours after scheduled time the snakes arrived. They didn't look to hot after the ordeal but seem to be adjusting nicely after warming up.

Coolaid, I have a red ear in a pond and leave it there all winter. This summer another RES wondered in from the creek and stayed. so I have two of them in there now. Also, a yellow belly slider wandered in and stayed awhile but left.

I used to have the same issue. Some soap and water and anti-itch cream and I am okay. Bob, never had the issue when fish only and used the same salt, IO.
