I have an engineer goby for a little over a year. It is about 5" long and always hides until feeding time. Came home from work and noticed it out and swimming lazy/clumsy or whatever. I was able to net it out with no resistance. I don't see any physical signs of illness. I put it in a small...
Jceli,
Thanks for the info. It must be at least 24" tall and 15" square. I plan on making it 36" tall and 15" square; only because I have 8' x 3' fibermesh.
Phyl, the pressure treated part is my concern. What is it treated with and is it safe for the chameleon.
I am going to build a screen cage for a chameleon I recently bought. My question is will thiss wood be good to hold up the fiber mesh? I plan to staple the mesh to rectangle sections and then assemble. Any suggestions welcomed. The wood is Millstead 2 In. x 4 In. x 8 Ft. Pressure Treated Lumber...
The nems I had didn't like the dried krill right of the container. I had to soak it in water first then the nem would eat it. I guess it didn't like the texture, who knows.
I was wondering if anyone can see any downside to this approach. I find that I enjoy the fish more than the coral. Maybe because they just don’t thrive although they do survive. I was considering to get rid of the RR tank and go with a regular tank. I would omit the sump and phosban reactor...
Evoix,
Mine leaves the softies and shrooms alone. He would peck at the surrounding area of the zoas and polyps looking for bits of food. This caused them to not open much. Mainly happened on small frags of them.

There are plenty of poisonous stuff around that affects one and not the other. What's your point? People come here to get advice. What they do with it is up to them. I was told you can't put 3 dwarf angels in a tank together. Yet, I did and all get along fine. Yes, I did research the angels and...
Calaxa,
I don't think anyone on this board is trying to give bad advice. They are stating what worked for them. In my post I said that garlic helps boost the immune system, not that it cured ich. Everyone should take all advice with a grain of salt. What works for one may not work for another...
I found that you need to have a good relationship with the store before they will give you credit. Usually, calling one out the blue will state no credit. They will take it and sell for a profit though. I would list it here for sale or free before giving to a LFS that won't give credit. Heck...
I have only used garlic cloves if I saw a breakout of ich. I would hang several cloves in the tank and replace every 2 or 3 days. This seemed to help the fish fight off the disease.
Take some tank water and ice, mix tom get cool/cold water. Take a turkey baster filled with this mix and blast it at the foot. It will eventually let but take time.
I tied garlic cloves and hung them in the tank to help boost the fish's immune system. I would say it was 60/40 and think it depends how far it advanced. My skimmer would go nuts but it was a crappy one. Good luck.
