I was ready to put a hole on my basement wall to feed the skimmer with air that had less CO2, but this thread saved me the work.
Anyone up for...
I'm having pH issues too. It dropped by a good .2 and I can't figure out why. I've been dumping in a lot of Soda Ash over the past two weeks, but have only succeeded in raising my DKH and increasing my pH only temporarily.
The Brightwell salt took a lot of heat on the Chemistry forum on RC when it came out. Seems like the claims on the packaging are impossible to attain and just as impossible to test for.
Continuing on with the Evolution discussion...
My new Evolution 1400 is spinning backwards on my RKE. What to do? Anyone had any experience returning them to the manufacturer?
I don't think the thin ones are structurally sound enough for a sheet supported only at the ends to hold frags in a large frag container, like a 150 Rubbermaid stock tank.
Got to see this baby tonight up close and personal, and I'm really, really impressed! If I had a clue about things electrical and knew how to use a soldering gun I'd try to build one...
In the "right" dosage, I guess it would have the same results as ozone - higher ORP, clearer water, fewer organics in the water, etc. But I have no idea what the "right" dosage is, nor would I care to experiment to find out.
