Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
That looks good. If it's in working condition I'll take it.
Do you, or anyone else reading, have any VHO endcaps or standoffs?
Do you ever come up north, I'm in Lincoln Park near Wayne.

I'm looking for an Icecap 430 or 660 ballast to setup 2 46.5'' VHO Actinics. If you have that or something similar in working condition please let me know. If you have wiring harness and endcaps that would be great too.

I'll host a meeting. Although I've never attended any meetings and don't know what goes into one. I have a BBQ/smoker and a cooler, a summer meeting would work. I make mean ribs! ;D
I'm in Lincoln Park so it would be a north meeting. July?
Let me know details.

A 40 gallon breeder would work for you. It's much larger 36x18x16 (if I remember correctly). I use it for my sump and I was able to fit a skimmer, return pump and a refuge. HTH

I use one of these to cool the lights on my 30g. I'm thinking about getting 2 for my 120g when I finally purchase a controller. Then i can have them come on independently when the temp goes up. They have 2 or 4 fan models.

I drilled my own tank, it was a 40 breeder i bought at Petco and I drilled 3 holes for 1/2'' bulkheads. I bought the bits for 1/2'' 3/4'' and 1'' bulkheads off of ebay for $11 plus shipping. I was very nervous at first but it really wasn't difficult at all. Where did you want the drilling, in...
For the DJ switch I cut 2- 3x4 inch rectangles out of 3/4 inch wood I had laying around. I screwed them from the inside of the stand to the front with 1 1/4 inch wood/sheet rock screws. I then used a 4 large head (slightly bigger than the holes on the switch) 1 inch flat head screws to put in...
I just posted my new tank in Tales of the Tank so please take a look.
I'm also looking for opinions on my aquascaping. It's been setup for about 2 months now. The tank is an Oceanic RR 120g 4x2x2. On the top right I put a large piece of shelf rock. I think it will be fun sticking corals on it...
Hi all, I joined NJRC about a year ago but I'm a long time lurker. I met a few other NJ reefers recently at MACNA XX (last day oops, oh and thanks for the jello shots)Great speech at the dinner. I hope to meet more of you at this years frag swap. I can also host a meeting for us north Jersey...
Wow thanks for the fast replies.
I'm going to take your advice and look for a 75g RR tank. I just sent Aquatic Obsessions an email asking about specials :) I would like to keep my 30g intact for now so i won't be taking it down. I hear allot about closed loop, can i do this with a RR tank and...
Hi, My name is Bob and I've been keeping F/W fish for 10+ years. I did try to keep S/W fish back around 1990, but due to lack of knowledge and equipment, it failed miserably. I currently have a Finnex 30 gallon all in one reef tank that is running for about 1yr. I also have a 75g tank and stand...
I've seen a post online where a guy made a light hanger out 3/4'' PVC. Basically it was a rectangle made from 4 elbows and straight PVC that sat on top of the tank, a tee on both sides cut into the middle of the shorter side of the rectangle extending upwards, a short piece of pipe cut to the...
I bought the following and I really like it. It came with the holding tank and a faucet. 0 TDS
