My first build thread (29g Biocube)

A QT tank is a completely separate tank that is not plumbed in or connected to your display in and way shape or form. This is done on purpose so that no disease can get from your new fish to your existing fish. People will put the new fish in the QT tank and treat it and make sure it is eating...

Usually people go for about 5% a week going up. Best not to shock everything.

We have had a 12g in our bedroom since 2008, it makes a great thing to look at before you go to bed.

Depends on the fish, you could put 15 barnacle blennies in there and probably be fine.

Alpha has some amazing clowns so it is going to be easy to find something you like. I agree with staying away from the maroons and tomatos. Most of the hybrids are from percula lines which are generally more peaceful (the oscellaris or false percs are more aggressive) which is good. A pair...

    Getting mushrooms off the rock

Those aipstia zappers are excellent at getting mushrooms off of rocks. See if you can borrow one, they are expensive and they actually do not help with aipstia.

    The 210 tank build

    peppermint shrimp reef safe?

+1 to above. They will eat aptasia but generlly if there is no other food and the aptasia are small. Every now and again a rogue peppermint might pick on some LPS but that is very few an far between.

Inee or Outee and I don't mean belly buttons

I don't know if it is really a preference, or more just necessity due to size restraints. The majority of people are under stand which limits your available space which means a lot of people go in sump. I have had both and I like the external a lot better because it is easier to dial in and...
