So we have had the BTA in the tank roughly 2 weeks. It has settled into a nice piece of live rock with a big whole in it so it is very secure. We started noticing that it was looking a little funny and then we came home to this. We are pretty excited.

They will move around to a spot of their liking. I would try and place him on a rock and go from there. They like flow, but not heavy which will cause them to move.

The emeralds will eat the bubble, but if you can get the bubble algae out of the tank and get rid of it there, that is your best option.

The big question is why would you upgrade your lighting? If your corals are doing fine under this light, then don't do anything. Now if you decided you want to try SPS or clams then yes you might want to upgrade. You can always look at a MH pendant with T5 bulbs if you want to upgrade.

Yeah have to second the placing it on the sandbed. With that amount of light you have the lower the better for the favia.

You could go with a dwarf angel in a 50 gallon with no problem. A flame, pygmy or coral beauty would be a beautiful addition to your tank and can go easily into a 50. You could also look at a reef safe wrasse.

I think I am going to start with weekly blackworm feedings. Until I can figure out how to keep them alive for a while, that will have to do.
