Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I certainly don’t wish to belabor the point, especially if you’re happy with the fan design. However, here is a simplified overview of what you have:
One Fan “In” and One Fan “Out”
You have the effect of ONE fan. The one fan blows in air while the other sucks this same air out. You...
I agree with this. I don't believe your number! Verify with someone else.
Also, what are you doing to maintain ALK and CALC? If you are a two part user, make your own ALK by first putting 2 1/4 cups of baking soda on a cookie sheet and baking it for an hour at 350 degrees. This...
Kevin, still sounding like an epoxy.....if you think you can do it in two cans, go for it. Otherwise, I'd look into picking up the two cans of resin to apply the epoxy that way....in the end, less expensive.....about $30-$40 for a quart.
Impetuous youth!
You have receive the best advise on starting a cycle….free of charge.

Don’t know what that is…..could you provide details….brand, etc. I’m curious.
Counter productive. Make both fans blowing in or both blowing out and just provide a hole to relieve pressure.

I know a couple folks who have switched pack to T5’s, or at least have supplemented with T5’s.
There are some corals that color up differently under LED than T5’s (or MH). I’ve simply accepted that and am happy with less heat, reduced operating cost, and no bulb changes. I still have...

I will not go back!
I originally ran IceCap ballast T5’s, and the yearly bulb change and energy consumption was getting to me. I switched over to two Apollo fixtures, and cut my energy consumption in half….virtually no heat….and no bulb changes.
I’m getting growth like crazy, but I...
I’ve had tube worms…
………but I have only seen them on the outside of the 1 ½ pipe that enters my filter sock. Now they also might be up inside the 1 ½ pipe that comes down from the display, but I can see in there.
I have to laugh at myself…..when I first saw this picture, I’m thinking that surgeon did a sloppy job stitching up that nasty gash.
My idiot mind finally realized it’s some sort of caterpillar on someone’s arm.
My wife is the consummate shopper….she should be, because she shops everyday. Here is her recent find…..fish motif paper plate holders.
The flimsy paper plate goes in the center section while the outside ring holds your plastic beverage cup. You hold the tail to support your drink and...
