If two, 15 A outlets meet your needs, than you’ll be fine.
You should also know that these inexpensive generators are very loud….very loud. The further you can get it from the house, the better off you’ll be.
This will be the cheapest 328 dollar insurance policy you’ll ever buy. Mine...
Nice! 6000 watts, you could run your entire house. I have a 3650 watt and I ran it 24/7 during Sandy and powered my boiler, refrigerator, television, entire tank, and a few lights.
You’re not done spending money. That middle plug I think is a 30 three prong circular outlet. You most...
I ended up using boiling RO/DI water because I had quite a few in a small tank (JBJ 28) and was concerned that any chemical means (including lemon juice), would poison the tank.
I first started using my turkey baster, but the heat made that cheap dollar store baster crack its entire length...
Actually I’ve had some recent issues with RC and I’ve been doing some research….part of which covered the mixing thing and how long you could keep the saltwater. Here’s what the good Dr. Randy Holmes Farley had to say about sitting saltwater:
"Depends on the salt mix and whether it has...
Judeo, not sure if I’m seeing the picture clearly, but it would appear that the stand is assembled with screws supporting all the weight. This isn’t a good thing. You ideally want a design similar to this:
This is easily fixed by cutting more dimensional lumber that snuggle fits between...
I would suggest you set up your two sensors this way....one coming out of the RO, the other coming out on the DI. This way you'll know when your membrane goes and you'll know when your DI is shot.
They would be "normal" numbers assuming 86 is your tap water TDS (actually fairly low), and 2 is coming out of your RO. Now if you also have DI, 2 would not be acceptable....should be zero.
Thanks George.
To answer your question; not sure if you are familiar with ReefKeepers, but they have a flange on either side of the controller display were each flange has two holes:
Each of those holes will have a #6 – ½ stainless steel machine screw with nut. If you look closely in...
I don't dilute....use it straight and let it soak at least overnight and scrub with a small brass wire brush. You can find these at the dollar store alone with a stainless steal and plastic wire brush in the set.
First off did you see the shipping costs…….33.56 for a ten dollar bag. Ouch!
I’d be skeptical for two reasons:
1.) The label says 77-80% pure. Now that might be the actual calcium chloride content because it’s a hydrated form or it might be “crap”…..you don’t know. If I were to...
Picked up another used Reefkeeper 2 last night (Thanks Rudy), so I now have three of these controllers. These are my favorite controller….easy to use and just the right amount of connectivity to the internet.
This controller will be mounted in the front of the stand through a...
Jason, the salt group buy is this month (March) and hopefully we will be doing better than what you've posted (We have in years past.) Hate to deflate your bubble! :p And it better be soon because I'm running on fumes for salt. Definitely ordering an extra box to get through next year.
Bryan, the first year of a saltwater tank is like riding a roller coaster. There are ups and downs and even screaming involved. You will go through hair algae, diatoms, pestilence and cyanobacteria......well maybe not the pestilence. It’s just the progression of things and the test of...
I was so intrigued by the video link Mike posted about the $1 DIY skimmer that I soaked the wooden air block in vinegar overnight to give my little skimmer another chance. Today I hooked it up to Maxum air pump that came with the skimmer and was once again disgusted with the lack of any foam...
OK, I’ve found it and here’s what I’ve got…..the tubing is actually 1 inch ID. If it doesn’t reach, for a couple bucks you can get the 1 inch fittings and pipe to get it close enough to hook up the tubing.
