What kind of floor is the tank on? If it’s a slab (concrete), then I would suggest you level and shim the stand/tank. If it is on a floor with joists (wood beams), check the level on the floor. The weight of the tank might have deflected the floor. In that case you could use an adjustable...

I'd stay away from local snails. A fellow member harvested some local snails and ended up having multiple skin reactions, some of which put him in the hospital. It took some time, but eventually figured out the snails contained the parasites that cause swimmers itch.

It is just me and my phobias, or is anyone else concerned about introducing unwanted parasites/bacteria/badassstuff into their tanks from wild caught stuff?
