Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You have diagnosed and identified the problem yourself. Now it is a matter of time to get your numbers back in line. I’m also hoping that your recording of a phosphate level of two is wrong….that is out-of-this-world high. Even 0.2 would be considered very high and definitely effect coral...
Anyone interested in adding Brittle Stars to their CUC, come and get ‘em. This is from my weekly cleaning of my filter sock.
I also have an abundance of Asteria is someone is looking for a little snack for their Harlequin Shrimp.
For those of use who feed Ruby Throated Humming birds, I was at my folk’s house in North Carolina over Easter, and they have returned there. Now NC is about a week’s difference to use, so tonight I put my feeders out. I only put a little bit of food in each feeder until I see them appear here...
Ed, great news about your kid! I’ve thought of him often, having had a kid with needs as well. Fantastic! :congratulatory:
And the tank doesn’t look bad either.
??????
Bob, this flush valve bypasses the restrictor valve on the waste water line. When opened, water rapidly flows out the waste line, with no water coming out of the “clean” side. My tds monitor points are at the exit of the clean line and after the DI canister. So I really can’t read...
I received my care package from the BRS group buy. I’m not sure if I should be cursing out Arnie or thanking him for organizing this group buy. I bought more than I wanted to buy, after I saw a few things on sale!
DOSING PUMPS
Picked up two dosing pumps to automate throwing...
I was just about ready to make a pledge to the MakersLED’s when I read their “questions” area. Reading all but this, it sounds like you get a complete LED fixture. But when you get down to he “questions,” this makes it sound like you only get the extruded aluminum piece with fancy end caps...
Because of that above analysis by Jim, I just purchased the Red Sea Pro Alk, Ca and Mg kit from the BRS’s group buy. I wasn’t believing my Salifert Calc number from recent testing (also realize the test kit is old)….from the numbers I was getting, I would have had a carbonate snowstorm in my tank.
Yh, put the excess resin in a sealed container and it will be just fine. I’ve keep resin in excess of a year (more like two or three years) without problems.
Can't do it! The alk will precipitate the cal. Also, I'd double check your mag add. Not sure whose brand you are using, but twice the volume of either alk or calc per day sounds high. Now it might be that the brand you have is more diluted than what I use. I'm only adding 40 mls per week.
Now there’s a conundrum. You no longer have Windows and the external driver needs a driver to work.
I’ve got to believe someone will have a solution. I’m a computer idiot, so I can’t help….good luck.
