Sometimes it makes sense, a lot depends on the post too. Someone woke up the sicce pump thread with a good post...OK...but when you post the same response 8 times to year old threads why bother.

That is really the best way to do it. Bare bottom has statistically proven to be better, less chance of becoming reinfected. Likely because it is easier to clean and not so easy to attach to. Cleaning daily will also help to a degree with this.

I would look to do almost daily water changes, and try to get some bacteria in a sponge like supra has.

Well since this thread was revived...with a good post...I want to say .. I DID IT!!! Makes life pretty easy though I think I need one size larger T. Used the dremmal took about 3 minutes.

I agree with Hawkeye...find someway to attatch the hose just to keep if from draining onto the floor....you know if it can happen it will....especially after we have jinxed you. ::)

I am with you Dave, I work on keeping the tank clean...dose two parts and bit of iodine that is it. I do the iodine just to keep the cheato going and for the shrimp.
