They need to eat. Most snails will eat algae and so on but a few food pellets will do for the shrimp.

How about the ever popular teflon tape? What does the pipe look like that goes into the filter sock. Does it have some sort of holes in it? The froth gets out of hand it can really get a lot of salt creap.

Sorry about the keyhole but the tank looks great if it is any consolation. I always think it is a bit easier if they don't make it through the acclimation period at least you don't get super attatched to them.

That is what I did on mine...had them on the same side and created a lot of circular surface motion ... also it facilitates the surface skimmer skimming instead of pushing the film away from the overflow. Just IMHO.

IMHO cheap skimmers are the number one item sitting in someones basement. I would suggest really checking it out, see if anyone has one that you can see. Usually you get what you pay for. Check out the thread about worthless items think it is stickied.

Next smallest and oldest(not a coincidence), I cannot believe anyone let me buy him and put him in a nano tank. Well that is why I don't shop there anymore. He has eaten more shrimp then you can find on a all you can eat buffet to boot. ::) At least I get to see him now he is a beautiful fish.

If that is your overflow behind the PH then I would put the PH on the other side. Take your time with corals, you have some already and until you get experience it is better to take it slow. Eventually things like zoas and palys will be nice. Would personally stick with what you have fish...

I spoke to the rep from ESV which I use. They have a pretty simple setup that uses air pumps...my future addition. In any case he said you want to dose directly to the DT not the sump because you have greater water volume and greater water flow. Don't dose to the sump.

I think should be same time one after the other. Otherwise I have been doing it wrong every day.
