I have the standard one...works for me...no period of time between calibrations just says it tends to change over time.

I they need to be recalibrated and thus cleaned I would assume. I just got the ACjr and darn I don't have the books here at work but it was either every 6M or 1Y. And yes you need to calibrate it but it takes about 5 minutes for salt water you get the 7PH and the 10PH solution. I will check when...

I have had them shrivel up for days ... if you fasten(super glue) them down they have done that to me too. They are about as hardy as anything.
