I used the Oolite sand...first day or so got some sandstorm but then it calmed down.  I cannot go crazy cleaning the glass or I kick some up but otherwise no problem...I like the look of it. I have lots of pictures in tale of the tank thread.

Some sea urchins will eat it. Some conchs will do a good job on it too. Of course best way is to starve it out of existence. Good combination of skimmer and refugium will do it. There is no way to argue with Bill's colors. I guess I need to get a PAR meter at some point. My lights though don't seem to run that hot. But they are suspended and not enclosed so maybe that makes a difference.
