Sorry I've been away, busy packing for the last two weeks and moving. Living in boxes right now. The reef is still up and running in my empty apartment in Ridgefield Park.
Sorry, will not be parting out.

sorry I haven't been on top of this thread as much as I should have.
The tank has not yet found a new home. I understand donating to a school situation maybe tough. What is the NJAAS about? It's deserving of a good home to be cared for. The tank itself has been reliable for nearly 3...
Forgot to mention, its located in 07660 and will be there until my apartment sells. Moving into a house and reef keeping is unfortunately not in the cards. I would like to find it a new home who will care for the fish and stuff in it. Thanks!
I've tried unsuccessfully to sell my tank. I've instead decided to donate the tank to a willing organization.

Ah cool thanks, so its very drastic changes. Knock on wood, I count myself lucky I haven't had any of those yet. 2 years on my current tank now everything is the same as it was then except water and media changes. I'm about to try a different brand of salt. I was using Oceanic for the last 2...
Well not much now. The pump just bit the bullet. Its a sedra 3500, I contacted Euro-Reef about a replacement but I'm thinking of moving to a new skimmer. Heat output is a bit high as is the 28watts it uses. The ceramic shaft and needle wheel are fine but it doesn't spin. It probably the coil...
My EuroReef RS-80 has been working well but over the years (2) has been getting louder and louder. I think the needlewheel impeller assembly is old and worn. I just want to replace the whole thing with a new quiet and efficient skimmer. The Sedra 3500 also puts out too much heat for my small...
Your RO unit should have an ASOV-auto shut off valve most do. When you close the product line the pressure builds and will close off the supply to the membrane shutting the system down.
It took me about 30 seconds to attach it to the tank and about 25 minutes of PVC cutting. I used 1.25" thin walled white PVC pipe, one slip fit 1.25" Tee, one 1.25' slip 90° elbow, one 1.25" cap and two short pieces of 1.25" straight pipe. I cut the Tee, the elbow and the cap about 0.5" for a...
Thats cool! I bought the 150GPD membrane from AWI. Its supposed to have a 98% rejection rate. So far I'm liking it for its speed and for the output. My incoming is tap is hardwater with lots of calcium and over 200ppm so the output from the membrane is acceptable. I do flush but next time I try...
