    WTB reefbrite led strips

I want to supplement my t5 setup with blue LED strips. I am thinking reefbrite. Anyone know of good deals on the 48" strips or have a set they don't want. Tank is 60x32x30. Ideally 2-48" down the length of the tank are preferred. Thanks everyone. Happy holidays!

Thanks! Here are more pics. I have built the canopy into the beam above the tank. Since I do not have a table saw, I have had to have them cut some at lowes and the rest with a straight edge and circular saw. I still have to paint the outside, and add the picture framing to match the base. Foyer...

Hey Hawkeye, thanks for checking in on me. I bought all of the materials for the canopy. I finished the wiring, and the tank room is ready for paint. My weekends have been very tied up with my father. He went into the hospital for an infection in his foot, being that he is diabetic, this was a...

Update: * Polished the glass inside the tank, removed two cloudy areas, and cleaned everything to prep for water. * Final sanding of the spackle in the tank room in the basement. Will sponge the dust away, clean up and get to painting. Next steps: Paint, do soemthing with the floor, finish...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Wendy, I am so sorry to hear, its a travesty to not be able to do something you enjoy and are extremely talented at. Everything I have read on this forum, most folks are using your tanks as a model, something they strive to do. I have even been in stores like aquarium obsessed and they use...

Dan and I were talking about your moving track idea. Sounds interesting. I am not sure how far the pendants could move on my 5'. Were you planning on making custom reflectors, maybe something smaller then the lumenarc III's I have?

Thanks guys. I thought this was cool and the components are not as expensive as I thought: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUlgd0WGQfU, though it may not work with this location. I thought about going open top but my wife is concerned about how bright it will be in the room. The Reflectors...

Okay, it has been a long few weeks, but this is what I have done so far. Stand is done, just need final paint. Basement room, done, just needs paint (sorry, no pics yet) To Do: Need to come up with a really good canopy design. Ideas are appreciated. I thought about sliding it along the...

Jazzsam, Yes I put in the steel beam to support the weight. As Baxreefs pointed out it is overkill. I originally had two jack stands and 2-2x10s bolted together with 1/2" ply. The reason why I went with the steel beam is 1. it was free (always the best), and two, it gave me the span I was...

Have a few updates (sorry the pics aren't better) - I finished framing the equipment room in the basement: (roughly 15x14) Here is the new steel I-beam, we swapped out the 2 bolted 2x10's: (My Nephew was the only one that wanted to be in the picture) I picked up my 4-55g drums for water...
