hey guys. I forgot to mention. My nitrates are 0 and my phosphates are 0.1. What else can be the culprit for causing this algae to take off.

I have a 20 long and the hair and macro algae are out of control. I bought a sea hair but he doesn't seem to be doing his job. The macro is easily removed but the hair algae is not so easy. Anyone have any tips or methods of removing this without taking all rock out and scrubbing it.

I have a 250w HQI with two PC actinic blue lights on my tank. I was wondering what I can do to get my corals to fluoresce more. I see they sell blue, white, purple PC bulbs online. Would I get better results with one blue and one purple bulb. Any info would help. Thanks.

I am leaning more towards using sand but need some feedback from people that have experience with 1 to 1.5 inch sand substrate. I just want to know how difficult it is to clean and keep from blowing around the tank from the return and all the powerheads.
