600+ Gallon tank build!

Geewiz Brandon, are we looking at the same picture? I see five silly children in that picture. And it's hard to tell how many are wearing diapers!

Looks great Tim.....can't wait to see more pictures. Keep them coming.

Did you get some of your pool cleaner in your eyes :p

I'm jealous of this tank

Still a little cloudy, got sand in other day, and started aquascaping, I picked up a little more than 600lbs of real reef rock and this stuff looks awesome. 4/10 boxes in. Hoping to finish getting in tomorrow. Rails should be in Monday to build custom lighting bracket.

You asked... Still clearing but getting better each hour.

Cement slab, lower level of a split level house... Used to be a garage, floor was completely level and ready for stand to be dropped on it

Damn! Looking good. The real reef rock is pretty impressive stuff. I won a small box of the Caribsea stuff at MACNA and really like it. I'm going to be using it on my next build.

Small update, still working on the cabinetry. Got my natureef set up and cycling this week. Mixing station built and programmed to top off sump based on salinity which has been really nice since I was seeing a swing of about .01-.04 in a 24 hour period with what I was evaporating. Now it is on dosing pumps with float sensors controlled by the apex to add ro water if salinity comes up and sump is low and mixed water if sump is low and salinity is also low... But not if the mixed water salinity is lower than needed.

Also installed a pulley system so that I can raise and lower my light rack with ease, prior I had it on chains and would have to go to each corner and lift it and hang it higher, my guess is the rack with lights weigh about 250lbs? Now I just have to press a button.

Tim's system is insane. Everything is so well planned out. Truly impressive. Gonna be one hell of a reef once it fills in with Corals.

Looks great need to stop by and check it out. Just a word of caution on the salinity probe, make sure to calibrate monthly. I have seen both that the pH probe be off by as much as .5 once calibrated.

Anytime, anyone... I love sharing, there is enough tank to share [emoji6]

I have been double checking about every other month.

Looking into sump builders, any recommendations? I'm thinking somewhere around 36"x60"x24" high, (4) 7" sock holders, probe holders, Ect...

Nice work Tim! You can look into elite aquatics for a sump. MRC does nice work as well.

Sump in and it is large...

It didn't fit without cutting some bracing that I welded for extra support

24 hours later I was upstairs and heard an alarming crash, I knew it was from the fish room and my wife said I turned white!
Apparently I overloaded a wire shelf and it decided to let go after being up for over a year.
